At The Mensa Table Company, we are committed to delivering your furniture safely, efficiently, and with the highest level of care. Please review our delivery terms below.

1. Delivery Coverage

We deliver throughout mainland United Kingdom. If you are located outside mainland UK, please contact us prior to placing your order to discuss available options and associated charges.

2. Delivery Charges

  • Free Delivery: Orders over £250 qualify for free standard delivery to ground floor level.
  • Orders Under £250: A delivery charge will be calculated at checkout based on location and order size.
  • Non-Mainland & Remote Areas: Additional charges may apply for deliveries to certain postcodes (including Highlands, Islands, and Northern Ireland). Any such charges will be confirmed before dispatch.

3. Standard Delivery – What’s Included

Free Standard Delivery (Orders Over £250)

  • Delivery to ground floor only.
  • Delivery to the first accessible entrance of the property (e.g., front door, apartment lobby, or ground-level access point).
  • Items will not be carried upstairs, into lifts, or to upper floors unless an upgraded delivery option is selected.

For safety and handling purposes, larger items such as dining tables are delivered by a two-person team.

4. Upgraded Delivery Options

We offer a range of enhanced delivery services for added convenience. These options can be selected at checkout or arranged prior to dispatch.

Room of Choice Delivery – £15.00

  • Delivery to a room of your choice within the property.
  • Item positioned in the requested room (subject to safe access).

Room of Choice Delivery + Unpacking & Packaging Removal – £25.00

  • Delivery to your chosen room.
  • Unpacking of the item.
  • Removal and responsible disposal of all packaging materials.

Full Assembly Service – £67.50

  • Delivery to room of choice.
  • Full professional assembly of the item.
  • Removal and responsible disposal of all packaging materials.

All upgraded services are subject to suitable and safe access. If access restrictions prevent completion of the selected service, standard delivery terms may apply.

5. Delivery Scheduling & Notification

We aim to make the delivery process as smooth as possible.

  • Once your order is ready for dispatch, we will contact you to confirm a proposed delivery date.
  • You will receive advance notification of your scheduled delivery date via email or telephone.
  • Where possible, a delivery time window will be provided.
  • On the day of delivery, our courier may provide additional updates.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure someone is present at the agreed time to receive the goods.

If delivery is missed due to customer unavailability, re-delivery charges may apply.

6. Access Requirements

Customers must ensure:

  • Safe and adequate access to the delivery location.
  • Doorways, hallways, staircases, and access points are sufficiently wide and clear.
  • Parking restrictions are disclosed in advance.

If delivery cannot be completed due to access issues not previously communicated, additional charges may apply.

7. Inspection on Delivery

We kindly request that you:

  • Inspect all goods upon delivery.
  • Report any visible damage within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Note any visible damage on the delivery documentation before signing.

Failure to report damage within this timeframe may affect our ability to resolve the issue.

8. Delivery Timescales

Estimated delivery times are provided at the time of order and are indicative only. While we strive to meet all stated timeframes, delays may occasionally occur due to factors beyond our control, including:

  • Supplier delays
  • Adverse weather conditions
  • Courier network disruptions

We will always keep you informed of any changes to your delivery schedule.

9. Failed Deliveries & Storage

If goods are returned to us due to:

  • Failed delivery attempts
  • Refusal without valid reason
  • Incorrect delivery information provided

We reserve the right to charge for re-delivery and/or storage costs.
